The Worst Time to Channel Surf
If you ever find yourself channel surfing 7 minutes before the current half hour ends (let’s say 12:23 or 12:53), you might as well turn the TV off and just wait it out. This is the time that pretty much every show ends, unless you count the 20-30 second “ending” that they purposely place after that last commercial break so you’ll sit through it.
On a sarcastically optimistic note, if you’re really into commercials, then this is the absolute BEST time to channel surf. If you’re not flipping through movie channels, you’re just about guaranteed to catch a nice steady stream of commercials.
Another terrible time to channel surf is any time after 4:00AM. Actually, let’s get technical: any time after 3:53AM. At this time, nearly every cable channel turns into an infomercial machine that they call “Paid Programming”. Depending on the channel, you’ll either get an hour of blurred out, nude 18-year-old girls on spring break with awful Caribbean music, or a room full of beautiful women talking to ugly men about how much they love men with giant genitals while the men talk about how they owe theirs to a pill.
Is it obvious I’ve been sick at home for a week? Excuse my lack of interesting observations, I’m very limited here.
